Major site design changes have taken place around Collegiate School’s middle and upper schools as part of their Pedestrian Spine and Academic Commons projects. Over the course of several years, improvements have included the addition of a new roadway, two new parking areas, and the expansion and reworking of existing walkways between buildings. The Pedestrian Spine project aimed to improve accessibility throughout campus and provide ADA compliance, as well as increase the overall aesthetic of the campus. A new fire lane, expansive sidewalk areas and a new student drop off and parking area were created in conjunction with the construction of the new Academic Commons building. Louis Smith Construction once again worked alongside F. G. Pruitt Contracting to complete the expansive improvements at Collegiate School’s Mooreland campus.
