As Virginia Commonwealth University’s academic campus continually grows the need for more student housing is in high demand. Louis Smith Construction worked in conjunction with Shoosmith Construction, Inc. to complete the site concrete work at 1200 West Marshall – Luxury Student Apartments. This student housing facility is located nearby VCU’s Monroe Park campus in the historic Carver neighborhood. The project included the installation of over 340 ft. of granite curbing, a retaining wall, ADA compliant handicapped ramps and sidewalks, concrete sub-base for brick pavers, as well as heavy duty concrete paving for entrances to the parking garage.
